Great Bag but needs provision for ball retriever
Great bag does all that is advertised, however, needs some provision for a ball retriever.
Hi - I have now had this bag for approx 18 months and it's far and away the best golf bag I've ever had. I have forged clubs and as you know, they suffer greatly from clanging together leaving small indentation in the irons over time. This bag fixes that as they clubs now do not have any marks at all, unbelievable. These bags are sensational and live up to their claims of being quiet and keeping all clubs separate. I have a pretty fat grip and it fits nicely into the top, larger divider. It's the only spot that will take it.
If you have a longer putter, the bag does not handle that well and that's about the only criticism.
I just replaced my 2012 Chamber bag with the new 2014 model and I'm very happy with the improvements. More storage on the sides, huge compartment for divot tools, ball markers, etc. There are only two things I'm missing on this bag from the 2012 model. The tee cartridge is gone and there is a spot for it just above the the large carbon fiber storage compartment. Why? The elastic string towel holder on the side has been replaced with a plastic piece that is too low IMO. Lastly, I'm not sure what cart was used for the design of the cart strap channel but most of my courses have the newer Club Car cart and the channel seems to be a little off for these carts. It works but the bag will not sit all the way back against the back rail.
By: Great bag - but not for oversize putter grips
Excellent bag - does exactly what it says - but they need a provision for oversize putters
I bought two of these bags, one to stay at my Club, and one for travel. They're well made, and do exactly what they say - they not only keep the clubs from rattling, they keep them from scratching one another. I've had them for a year now, and they're still like new - I play 5 times a week in the summer, and a few weeks during the winter, and I ship the travel set about 10 times a year. I use a hard case - the largest one I was able to find is the minimum size you need with this bag - buy one for a staff bag because this bag has a lot of storage compartments, and it is fairly rigid. The only thing which has recently become a concern for me, is that I'm considering a "fat" putter grip - and it won't fit into the chamber. they need to put a loop or clip on the bag to handle a putter with a large grip. On a cart this is not a major problem, but it is for shipping the bag in my carrier. It will handle a "small" fat putter grip - but not the really big ones - which I'm thinking might be what I want. Hoping they will be reading the comments and do something about this. But if you have a regular or slightly large (Winn Grip) putter grip, this is the best bag I've ever had, and you will be surprised at how well it does what it says it does - protect and silence your clubs in the cart.
Was very interested to see if bag would stop all the clanging of my irons, woods and putter. Clanging is now gone, much quieter ride or walk on the course. Also gives me piece of mind when I travel with my clubs, Thanks
