Good bag, lousy service
Had this bag for a year now and it has proved extremely useful. Plenty of space but not unwieldy in size and the mounting system is very clever. So clever that it would be simple to swap the bag between bikes if it was only possible to obtain additional straps/
Unfortunately, if you happen to live outside the US there is a big problem. Ogio will quote $3 for each strap (4 required) and then inform you they will not dispatch to anywhere outside the US. They then tell you to contact the local distributor and will help no further.
I contacted the UK distributor who will not stock these parts as the number required to order is ridiculously high. More emails to Ogio who then simply ignore any further request.
In summary, a good bag and very versatile if you happen to be in the US. The rest of the world can get lost as the customer service and sales departments are unwilling to provide either customer service or sales. Pity.
I was looking for a tail bag to make a weekend trip (up to three days) on my CBR600rr, and i hit the jackpot with this. Extremely well built, easy to install, holds a ton, and priced great.
The strapping system made it very easy for the average person to hook up. I used a simple caribiner to connect all four straps and installed the passenger seat overtop of it. The bag held fantastically over a 250 mile trip and at speeds over 100mph.
Oh, and I easily fit 2 days worth of clothes, comfy shoes, all my toiletries and some extras.
This bag is well designed. It's compact yet can expand to fit a full face helmet. There is also enough slack in the straps to make the bag into a small backpack.
Ogio in General makes great gear.
It's the best tail bag I ever owned and this company is fantastic !!!
Really like this tailbag for commuting to work with MacBook Pro 13", lunch etc. At a push I can fit in a pair of jeans as well for rainy days when I travel in waterproof riding pants.
Easy hookup to Honda CBR500X.
Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars - no shoulder strap. I walk a fair way to work from my parking spot, and a shoulder strap would make it tons easier to lug bag, helmet and jacket etc...
Excellent commuter bag!
Being tired of carrying a backpack everyday to work, I started looking for something that would give me that freedom of not having to carry anything on my back at all. I found this bag and I love it. I installed the web mounting system in a way that it stays there permanently and all I have to do is just buckle the bag to the four point system and It probably takes me 5 seconds to buckle/unbuckle it to my rear seat. I recommend this to anyone that uses a bike as a commuter, you don't want to be carrying something on your back, it is just tiring and your back gets sweaty.
