COMPANY NEWS: OGIO Appoints New Marketing Manager

2005-01-12

Though a desk now bears Aaron Favero’s nameplate, OGIO’s new marketing manager is expected to log little time at his seat. Favero, who has accepted the newly created position, will now serve as point person for OGIO’s numerous and rapidly growing marketing programs.

In less than four years, the Utah-based gear bag manufacturer has become one of the most widely recognized brands in motocross, snowboarding, skateboarding, BMX, and golf.  The company has established its foothold in each industry through an aggressively balanced mix of alliance marketing, athlete sponsorships, guerilla marketing, and traditional advertising - all of which have been managed by division product managers.

With Favero’s appointment, the company’s far-reaching efforts will centralize, as OGIO product managers expand distribution and customer service programs.

"I’ve admired OGIO and their products for years," Favero explains. "Things are really exploding now, and its incredible evolution has just begun. With my love of action sports, and OGIO’s vision for marketing, I’ve landed the definitive ‘dream job.’"

Prior to joining OGIO, Favero worked as a product brand manager for Utah-based Nutraceutical, where he helped launch multiple new products and expanded a new category nearly 40 percent in just six months.  He has also logged more than 16 years in the action sports industry, both as a pursuit, and as a marketing consultant and general manager for several companies.

In addition to overseeing OGIO’s marketing efforts, Favero will facilitate all internal marketing activities between the company’s sales, promotions, and product development divisions.
