COMPANY NEWS: New Cart Bags Cater to Constituency
2008-01-17
ORLANDO, Florida / PGA Merchandise Show Booth #2373 (January 17, 2008) – For OGIO, 2008 is the year of personalization. As evidence, the company has rolled out 14 golf bags, each with a personality as distinct as its would-be owner.
Within the cart bag category, OGIO delivers five new styles and details that cater to individuals whether they are sporty, traditional, trend-setters, technophiles, or adventurers.
The new bags include:
FOR SPORTY TYPES: The Exodus
The Exodus (MSRP: $210.00) is nothing less than the Corvette of cart bags, offering high-energy style and world-class performance, all at an affordable price. Designed for serious outings, the 8.9 lb. Exodus is geared up with two insulated pouches to keep beverages cold (or hot) from the first tee to the last. Its new Wedge top was created to accommodate popular hybrid clubs; ten pockets include special storage for the most cutting-edge tech equipment in a fleece-lined space; and an innovative "Isolation Chamber" buffers wet gear from dry. Looking deeper, the Exodus is laden with endless details including dedicated storage for divot tools, umbrellas, towels, tees, gloves, and of course ... cigars. Just for good measure, the company throws in an embossed cigar case and divot tool with each Exodus as well. Available in Navy/Gold; Black/Copper; and Petrol/Black.
FOR TRADITIONALISTS: The Atlas
Steady, reliable, and quintessentially classic: the featured-laden Atlas (MSRP: $220.00) offers the best OGIO- engineered components the company has to offer. The Atlas opens with a 10" Uniter 15-club top and patented Hoode rain hood, the patented Zipperless Ball Pocket (ZBP), a neoprene Ball Silo and a wet-dry pocket. Among its ten intelligently designed pockets is dedicated storage for hydration, a cell phone, sunglasses, plus an internal isolation wet/dry chamber to protect soaked goods valuable gear. Available in Khaki, Indigo, and Fire.
FOR TREND-SETTERS: The Syncro
With its good looks and ahead-of-the-curve design, the 6.9-lb. Syncro (MSRP: $180.00) delivers the look of a performance stand bag with the personality of a pull-friendly cart bag. Engineered to accommodate both walking and electronic carts – whatever method is hot at the time -- the Syncro is outfitted with a 10" Uniter top, molded Ball Silo, and nine zippered pockets, including an isolated wet-dry pocket - all of which face forward and are easily accessed from the back of a cart. Available in Navy/Khaki; Garnet/Bone; Black; Chiaro/Silver; and Apple/Black.
FOR TECHNOPHILES: The Kingpin
OGIO strikes again with one of its legendary “why-didn't-someone-think-of-this-before" performance features. Beneath the Kingpin’s (MSRP: $140.00) unassuming façade hides the secret to its genius: transformer-like pockets. Two generously sized pockets sit on the bag's top – ideally positioned for easy access ... until the cart strap comes into play. But wait! Just flip up the pockets on each side, slide the strap around the bag, and pop the pockets back into place. Bag is secure; pockets are still accessible. Available in Navy/White; Black; and Beige/White/Red.
FOR ADVENTURERS: The Section
Nothing slows this bag down, because it is priced and designed to move. The Section (MSRP: $130.00) takes the concept of a "basic bag," and blows it away with sturdy construction, full-length club dividers, nine pockets - including an internal cell phone pouch - and loads of extras to store umbrellas, gloves, putter covers, pens, and tees. Available in Black/Indigo, Black, or Fire.
